Before I get into this can we just admire this beauty:

Okay so I’m currently reading Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare and I’m about 31% into it according to Goodreads. I am really enjoying this book a lot more than I did City of Bones. I’m comparing them because they’re the first book in a series that are set in the same world.
A lot of people who personally know me have told me that I would love this trilogy way more than The Mortal Instruments. Let’s see if that’s true.
So far I’m loving the female characters and how Cassandra makes a point that although this is set in the 1800s, women in the Shadowhunter universe are equal as men. And the Shadowhunter men treat the women as such.
I’m loving the writing in this book and the setting so much! I feel like I’m there in London in the 1800s wearing these beautiful dresses.
So no complaints as of yet.

This is one of my absolute favorite trilogies! I so need to get those editions because they’re gorgeous 😍. Personally I read the first three books of TMI and then read TID before I read the rest of TMI.

Literally my fav trilogy of all time. I have a quote from the second book tattooed on me. I hope you love it as much as I do! Each book just gets better.

I’ve heard so many amazing things about this trilogy. If I can’t get through the next TMI book I might skip straight to this one and see how it goes 😊 I’m glad you’re enjoying them!

I enjoyed the Infernal Devices far more than City of Bones. This is my favourite trilogy. I’m so glad more people are reading it. 🙂

I can’t wait to start this myself! I loved TMI, so when I keep hearing that I will love this even more, I get excited 🙂 I recently bought, them, just haven’t gotten to them, yet. I’m glad you’re liking it!

I wasn’t surprised that I enjoted TID so much (more than TMI) being that I love 1800’s London, No I don’t think I would have been able to pull off a corset given this past Friday’s wedding dress situation BUT lol I luv that setting in history! I read TMI in it’s entirety before TID but then again this was before I connected with other readers to get the heads up on reading it any other way lol.

Ahh!!! I went on Cassandra’s website and she has a FAQ…she wrote that the readers should read the first 3 of TMI then TID and then the rest of TMI..so I’ll be doing that. Then it’s bane chronicles, tales of Shadowhunter academy and then lady midnight. I’m excited!!! Lol

Lol I’m excited for you! I e read everything except Lady Midnight. It’s sitting on my Cassie Clare shelf waiting for the hubby to finish Mistborn #1…I may ditch him if he takes any longer.

I recently finished this trilogy and I’m among the 1% who prefers TMI more than TID. Unfortunately, I wasn’t blown away by this series but it sure was a good read. But hopefully you’ll enjoy it more than I did! 🙂

Omg! The women thing you mentioned I totally relate that is my favourite part of Cassandra Ckare books and how all her protagonists are female. Do u have a bookstagram account? If yes what’s your username?

I loved TID and loved TMI more. I am so obsessed with them!! Do read lady midnight. Can’t wait to get my hands on the next part.
