August Wrap-Up 2016

Is it really the end of August already? Am I really turning 27 in September? OMG I can’t believe it! And here we all are =)

This month there are a total of 6 books! And let’s jump right into it.

  5. Unknown (Unknown #1) by Wendy Higgins

    New Adult, Post Apocalyptic
  6. A Beautiful Funeral (The Maddox Brothers #5) by Jamie McGuire ★
    New Adult
So apparently the author decided to change what series this book belongs too. I will not be writing a review for this book but you can find my short rant on Goodreads here.

My favorite of the month was definitely This Savage Song. I hope September goes really well for me because for the past two years, almost all my favorite authors have been disappointing me with their latest books. I am so happy that I get to read Empire of Storms and Crooked Kingdom this upcoming month. I need it in my life! Plus Autumn is arriving and so is my birthday in September. I’m pretty happy.

Let me know your thoughts in the comments. How was your August? Are you anticipating any books for September?

  1. I can’t believe how fast August flew by! I am super excited for Fall though, I love it just as much 🙂

You had a great month of August! I’m really interested in your rant for beautiful funeral so I will have to check it out lol. I have heard a lot of different reviews for it. I’m not all the way finished with the series though so it will probably be a little bit until I actually get a chance to read it!

  2. Man! I need to get my hands on This Savage Song ASAP. Plus with fall on its way it’ll be perfect. Idk why, but I feel like it’s a fall book, ahah, maybe because of the colors on the cover.
August was great for me too; I read 6 books as well, including Isla and the Happily Ever After and … I think it’s officially my favorite of the three! 😮

I’m so glad you loved This Savage Song, it’s a favourite of mine (then again everything by V.E. Schwab is a favourite of mine!)

  4. I can’t believe it’s almost Fall! Seriously it feels like this whole year has been going by a warp speed or something lol.

I’m with you on being excited for Empire of Storms and Crooked Kingdom. Though I haven’t read Six of Crows or any of the ToG books I’m planning some major binge reading which has me excited 🙈. I’m also really excited for Tales of the Peculiar!

Happy early birthday and I hope you have an amazing September! 😊

    • Thanks doll!!! Same to you 😁
Binging ToG sounds great! Or at least reading the books throughout the year till the last installment comes out in 2017. Since the books are huge! Oh, Six of Crows is so wonderful. Pleeeaasssseeeee read it. At least that one is a duology so you can marathon them ❤️

      • Lol I was actually trying so hard to wait until the last book but more and more lately I’ve just wanted to have a complete binge reading fest. Might have pace myself though 😂. I’m definitely reading Six of Crows soon! Probably after Crooked Kingdom is released. ToG, Six of Crows, and An Ember in the Ashes are my immediate TBR after I get through my review books this month. 😃

  5. I know we talked about this yesterday but DAMN! August truly feels like it sneaked up on us. Sitting here like I shouldn’t be working on my wrap-up LOL. I was hoping you had a wonderful reading month in September with so many of your favorite authors releasing new books but alas smh there’s always October lol *crosses fingers* 😉
